As the sun climbs in the sky, plants growing on the ground receive the direct overhead rays and absorb the solar energy. Many vegetables, grains, berries grow in this zone, which includes plants up to about four feet tall. Cows, turkeys and chickens live on the ground and are appropriate meats for lunch. The large variety of midday foods reflects the nutritional needs of the body due to increased activity during the daytime.

Remember that brown rice is a neutral food that can be eaten all day.

Iron and calcium do not mix well in the stomach, therefore avoid eating meat and milk products together.

Cutting vegetables with a diagonal slant will minimize oxidation and leaching of nutrients.

 

The chemistry of your blood also affects how your body metabolizes foods. This is a simplified list of midday foods that are not beneficial for each blood type:
